Year 4

Welcome to Year 4, meet the team!

Children in 4GH are taught by Mrs Gleeson on Monday and Tuesday and by Mrs Hunt on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The teaching assistant for 4GH is Mrs Cooper.

Children in 4M are taught by Mrs Middleton. The teaching assistant for 4M is Mrs Fleet.

As children enter year 4 one of our main aim is to promote independence, both at home and in school, in preparation for upper KS2. Developing an effective home/school partnership is key; in order to build this partnership we would encourage parents/carers to contact the year group team immediately with any issues that may arise.

Year 4 firmly believe that the best learning takes place when children are happy, safe and stimulated. We strive to ensure that all learning styles and preferences are catered for, in order to allow all children to access the curriculum. We study many interesting topics in Year 4, from Ancient Greeks to Chocolate and this provides opportunities for children to learn outside of the classroom.

The Year 4 team can be easily contacted through a message in children's organisers and there are opportunities to speak to staff at the end of the school day. If you feel you need more time, please make an appointment through the school office. Alternatively, you can email us at the addresses below.
