Celebrating British Values at St. Luke's
We have spent a fascinating week celebrating all that makes us British. During this past week at St. Luke's, we have welcomed many visitors to school who have worked with pupils, teaching them about their faith, their culture and homes. Our pupils and staff have found the experiences really beneficial and it has really opened up discussion about what being British really means in 2016.
We have spent time exploring: Judaism, Islam, Arabric and Chinese script, Polish culture, and Bollywood lives.
We are very grateful for the many visitors who have spent time with our pupils during the week including: Mrs Qureshi, Mr Fahim, Dr Sheridan, Mohammed and Abdul from the 'Blue Ginger' Restaurant.
Have a look at a few of our images below which show our Year 6 pupils meeting Mohammed and Abdul from 'Blue Ginger' and Mr Fahim and Mrs Qureshi who shared their stories and faiths about being Muslim.
