Environmental Awareness for Y5 & Y6
Pupil have been fortunate to be visited by Environmental Enforcement Officers and Staff from Cannock Chase District Council during the past few days.
Pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 learned about the work of the Environmental Enforcement Team within the council and explored the challenges which they face around our local area including - fly-tipping, graffiti, vermin, dog fouling.
Pupils had the opportunity of finding out how Cannock Chase District Council manage these issues and more importantly how we can educate and inform our families, friends and community on how to be more environmentally.
Both our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils enjoyed their mornings with staff from Cannock Chase District Council. They really showed their great knowledge and how they can be courageous advocates for protecting our world.
Finally - a word of thanks to Julie, Stephen and Dean who spent two mornings here at St. Luke's. They were knowledgeable, skilled and delivered a important message with care. Thank you guys - you were great !
