Performance Poetry

As part of our developments in English, each year group is attempting to learn, know and understand some well known poetry. In the same way that we all can recall rhymes and songs from our youngest years, so we are hoping to instill and excite our learners and in the process develop their love of poetry.

During the year, different year groups will have the chance of performing their learned poetry. We hope that they will learn, know and use the vocabulary, rhyme and ideas in their own writing. Take a look at our Year 5 pupils performing their recent poetry.
