Steel Pans perform at 'Music for Youth'

As part of the National Music Festival - Music for Youth, our Year 6 Steel Band took part in the Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent round of the festival this year.

Our young musicians travelled over to the Coton Centre, Tamworth and performed along with several hundred other young musicians representing different areas of the UK. We were the only primary school represented and our team opened the event as the very first performers.

Schools and Music Groups travelled from as far as Manchester and Cheshire to perform.

Our pupils performed very confidently. They performed three pieces from their growing repertoire including: 'Brazil', 'Just the Two of Us' and music from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'.
