'Funky Free Rangers are coming to St. Luke's'
Children at St. Luke’s CE Primary School are thrilled after being selected for a grant from the M6 Toll Midland Expressway School’s Foundation.
During the past few months pupils have been exploring the possibility of creating their own Free Range Egg Business. Their ‘Funky Free Rangers’ has become a much talked about project. Pupils have designated an area for their livestock, considered selling shares and even designed ways to promote their business plan. Our biggest hurdle……costs.
After a tense few weeks, we were thrilled to hear that we were one of the lucky schools to receive a cheque for £2000.00.
The funding will allow us to kick start our Free Range Chicken Business by purchasing our chickens, housing and landscaped areas. We have plans to sell shares in our business to our parents and we hope to begin selling our eggs from February 2019.
Pupils will reap the benefits of managing their own business, caring for poultry, managing marketing and hygiene.
We look forward to a flourishing future!
