Virtual School Games
We are delighted to let you know that children from St Luke's School (Y1-6) have all been invited to take part in the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Virtual School Games! This is a county level competition and children from all over Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent will be taking part. You could be part of winning team and a county champion! Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top three schools for each competition. We have such amazing athletes and competitors in our school it would great to take part in such a prestigious competition!
The competitions will run over 6 weeks, starting on Monday 1st June. We will email online forms to the year groups eligible to take part in each competition - all you have to do is complete the activities, record your scores and email the forms back to the county School Games Organiser Camilla Denham at cdenham@staffordbc.gov.uk.
There is no limit to the number of entries from each school, but the four highest individual scores from each school will count as the school team. So, if 12 children enter from St Luke's then the four children with the highest individual scores will make up the overall team score from our school.
A time table of the sports involved and a copy of this week's County Dance Event for KS2 are both attached.
Good luck to everyone!
Mrs Fleet, Miss Dewsbury, Mr Leadbeater and Mr Wood
