Year 4 trip to Stratford Upon Avon

Year 4 pupils had an opportunity to visit the Birthplace of William Shakespeare this week, after learning all about the Elizabethans, including the famous playwright, this half term.

Wellies and raincoats were put to the test as we faced the rain left behind by storm Ciara, but we were determined to make the most of the opportunity to find out a little bit more about Shakespeare and where he was from.

Our acting skills were put to the test and we ignored the Tudor "no girls" rule while re-enacting the play within a play from Midsummer Night's Dream. Some eagle-eyed students were even able to spot the similarities between this and one of Shakespeare's most famous plays, Romeo and Juliet, which we have been studying this half term.
