Year 6 learn from a 'real' Mountaineer

As part of their Thematic Work and in supporting writing, our Year 6 pupils had a fascinating opportunity to meet and listen to Paul Griffiths on Thursday.

Paul visited Year 6 pupils to talk about and share his experiences of life climbing many of the worlds most challenging mountains. Paul brought with him many interesting artefacts including a rock from the Grand Canyon and Nepalese Prayer Flags.

He gave pupils the chance to look at, ask questions and even try out his sleeping bag worth a staggering £1000 !! guaranteed to provide warm nights even at temperatures as low as -40 degrees.

Our pupils gained much from his experiences.
